Artstream Cultural Resources Board of Director Chrissy Karas in Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Chrissy Karas, Director

Born to a former Olympic gymnast, Colorado native Chrissy Karas studied classical ballet from the age of ten; by the time she was thirteen she became an apprentice to the Colorado Concert Ballet
Company, spending much of her spare time in training and performances. At fourteen, she became a Company member.

In her twenties, she joined The Jane Berry Dancers, which later became known as the Colorado Mountain Dance Theater. Chrissy taught ballet at Colorado Mountain
College in Glenwood Springs and in Aspen, Colorado.

After moving to Pagosa Springs she also taught the Royal Academy method and did some choreography for the Music Boosters.

Always involved in promoting the performing arts, Chrissy and her
husband Nick have hosted many house concerts for the Whistle Pig, bringing out of town musicians to Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Chrissy is the only Eco Real Estate Broker in Archuleta County and
passionate about sustainable "Green" technology. She is the managing
Broker and partner for a beautiful thirty-five acre development near
Durango Colorado. Loving Colorado's colorful history, Chrissy has
served on many Historic Preservation boards throughout the Colorado
Rocky Mountains.

Chrissy enjoys gardening and is married to Nick Karas; they have two wonderful sons!
